Copyright aims to protect the specific way the article has been written to describe an experiment and the results. Human-centric Computing and Information Sciences (HCIS) is committed to its authors to protect and defend their work and reputation and take allegations of infringement, plagiarism, ethics disputes, and fraud.

1. The copyright to the contribution is transferred to the Korea Information Processing Society (KIPS). The copyright transfer covers the exclusive right to reproduce and distribute the contribution, including reprints, translations, photographic reproductions, microform, electronic form (offline, online), or any other reproductions of similar nature.

2. The author may not publish his/her contribution anywhere else without the publisher's prior written permission unless it has been changed substantially.

3. The author warrants that his/her contribution is original, except for such excerpts from copyrighted works as may be included with the permission of the copyright holder and author thereof, that it contains no libelous statements, and does not infringe on any copyright, trademark, patent, statutory right, or propriety right of others.

4. The author signs for and accepts responsibility for releasing this material on behalf of all co-authors.

Exceptions to copyright policy There may be exceptions concerning copyright and licensing for articles that were previously published under policies that are different from the above. Occasionally, HCIS may co‐publish articles jointly with other publishers.
