XAI and Blockchain Assisted solutions for Sustainable Development of Information Systems

Overview

Information system is an integrated set of components for collecting, storing, and processing data for providing information, and knowledge. Many Industries and other organizations rely on information systems to carry out and manage analytical, behavioral, and technological perspectives of industrial applications. As information systems enabled more diverse human activities, they exerted a profound influence over sustainable development of society. The main components of information systems are computer hardware and software, telecommunications, databases and data warehouses, human resources, and procedures. The hardware, software, and telecommunications constitute information technology (IT), which is now ingrained in the industrial organizations. In this digitization era, IT is booming and integrated with many different technologies like AI, Blockchain, and Industrial IoT. With the rapid development in the field of AI, the integration can make it more consolidated against different types of attacks. Therefore, Explainable AI will be essential for development in the industrial applications 5.0. Moreover, the rapid advancement in other emerging technologies like Edge/Fog/Cloud Computing, Blockchain, and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) can make security and privacy more challenging due to several reasons. Through this special issue the target is to get the high quality work in the area of Information systems incorporates Explainable AI (XAI) and Blockchain assisted solutions. It maintains security and privacy for sustainable development in the area of computer science, telecommunications, cognitive sciences, web technologies, medical informatics, agriculture, and electronic commerce.
This special issue welcomes original research for addressing societal challenges in various domains and areas, including, but not limited to, the following:

XAI and Blockchain for Healthcare Information system

XAI and Blockchain for sustainable development of Smart cities

AI and Blockchain for Education Information system

XAI and Blockchain for Agriculture Information system

XAI and Blockchain for E-commerce Information system

XAI and Blockchain for Medical Information system

XAI and Blockchain for Telecommunication based information systems

XAI and Blockchain for Environmental protection, clean energy, and sustainability

Innovative techniques integrating XAI and Blockchain platform for Fog Computing and/or IIoT

Modern encryption signature and forensics for AI-enabled Fog Computing and/or IIoT

Modern Blockchain techniques for secure XAI-enabled Fog Computing and/or IIoT.

Important Dates

Submission deadline : January 31, 2023

Author notification : within 4 weeks after submission

Revised manuscript due : within 2 weeks after notification

Notification of acceptance : within 2 weeks after revision submission

Tentative accepted paper publication date : within 2 months after final version

Tentative SI paper collection and its web open: 3rd Quarter, 2023 (TBA)

All submitted papers must be clearly written in excellent English and contain only original work. All papers must be submitted in an electronic format, e.g., PDF format (preferred) or MS Word. Manuscripts should follow the formatting of the sample manuscript and references.
